Lift Off akan mengandungi banyak siri.
Introduction & Discussion
Sabtu, jam 7.56 pagi. Dah beberapa kali saya cuba berpusing-pusing atas katil. Bangun Subuh tadi dah tak boleh tidur semula. Biasanya kalau di hujung minggu saya akan cuba dapatkan sejam dua lagi paling kurang waktu tidur. Tetapi mata saya tak nak tutup. Badan saya rasa seperti memerlukan tidur tu (lagi-lagi sebab tidur lewat sikit semalam), tetapi mata saya tak nak bekerjasama.
I guess ada sesuatu yang sedang saya fikirkan ni sehingga buat saya tak boleh shut down my brain to relax. Tahu sahajalah, saya ni selak sedikit. Secretly I wish saya ada remote control yang boleh fast forwardkan masa.
To think of it, how different my life is compared to 12 years ago.
Dulu waktu saya kecil-kecil, saya nak remote untuk “pause” kan masa sebab tak nak exam cepat-cepat (UPSR), tetapi bila dah tua ni saya nak remote yang nak cepatkan masa plak.
How ironic.
To think of it, semenjak saya tua ni saya rasa saya berfikir dengan cara berbeza. I am not sure its a good or bad thing. Kalau saya sudah decide mengenai something tu, I want to make it happen fast. Along the way,if I figure I might need to do some course correction, I will do it. Dilly-dallying will not make things better.
I believe that if we really want something and committed to it, we can make it work. No matter how tough it seems to be initially. We miss 100% shot that we didn’t take.
No point in delaying something that we know we want or we know is inevitable.
Be quick, do it fast and you will have more time enjoying the experience (or stuff).
But of course, there are steps to do it in a smart way. Sebagai contoh kalau cita-cita kita hendak menjejakkan kaki ke Bulan dan kita memang hendak sangat dan memang tahu kita akan pergi juga by hook or by crook, dengan duit kerajaan atau duit sendiri, masih tidak wajar jika anda decide nak pergi esok.
Hari ini anda mungkin boleh plan for your fitness training dulu. Next month boleh register for astronout training dulu. So on and so forth.
But, I like to do something, to take the first step NOW.
Enough of pre-amble, So I guess its time to write this Lift Off series for 2011.
Let See, What Have Been Achieved in 2010?
1) I have visited 4 new countries.
2) I got all three items in my wish list.
3) I bought my first property (yay!) ~Thought it wont be happening this year already. Luckily found suitable one in November
4) Hit my savings target + a little bit more with still a few months to go.
5) I am able to carry forward and maintain the business from the previous year.
6) I manage to read 55 books (plus one or two for December) this year. Although I didn’t put it as a target last year, knowing that I am able to read about a book a week is awesome. It is a 61% increase from the previous year when I manage to read 34 books.
What I didn’t manage to complete in 2010?
1) I haven’t complete writing that 2 books yet.
2) I haven’t opened my first restaurant yet.
Overall, 2010 is a pretty good year for me. It is a year where I mature a little bit more, my social life is expanding a little bit further (got to know quite a few more people) and I improved myself a little bit in things that I take for granted before (I am more thorough and are more attentive to detail now).
Now I know where I stand, lets talk about what I plan for next year.
My Personal Life
I missed writing about this last year. Initially saya takut jugak nak tulis pasal my personal life (since when?) :p
But as I have been transparent all this while about my life, why should I stop now? Plus, I believe some of the readers understand what I mean with my personal life. Right? 🙂
As of now I think everything is going well in this front. I believe that the latest by February I will no longer be single. 🙂 However, I didn’t see marriage come soon after that yet. Depending on what we decide, if it gonna happen next year it will be late next year or maybe 2012 or 2013 altogether. That’s fluid. The most important thing I guess is to get the right people on the bus first. We can always decide later where we want to go. 🙂
Last year I focus more on wealth accumulation. This year I think I will give more attention to my health & physical fitness. Not to lose weight per se, but I want to start with eating healthy and exercise more frequently. I decided to strictly enforce my only thrice red meat in a month policy and I want to add 3 spoonful of oat daily to my diet. Plus I want to significantly reduce the amount of sugar I take in my drinks (or sweet drinks that I consume).
I have started the oat diet and I no longer drinks tea and coffee with sugar during meetings (but I want to be more aggressive here), and we will see how it goes.
… akan bersambung di bahagian 2 di mana saya akan bercerita mengenai aspek K&P & Travel pula.
